If you're looking for the Canadian equivalent of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, DigitalOcean, Akamai... prepare to be disappointed.

Here's an overview of the options in the Canadian market:
- Web Hosting Companies - Geared to web hosting, most offer VPS compute and networking infrastructure. Setting up a private network, load balancer, or DNS probably means opening a ticket with support. See our roundup of web hosting providers.
- Canadian Upstarts - A few Canadian public cloud platforms have launched since 2020 that offer elastic compute, volume block storage (with a few offering object storage), and networking. FullHost.cloud, KeepSec and Patrii are covered below.
- Enterprise Providers - Larger, established players offer managed services and Canadian sovereign cloud products geared to government, institutional, and enterprise clients. Micrologic, ThinkOn and VEXXHOST are covered below.
- OVHcloud - A full service public cloud provider headquartered in France. They're the only leading European provider with data centres in Canada.
Canada
An offshoot of Canadian Web Hosting, CCH has been around since 1998. They offer VPS / cloud servers in a rage of configurations typical of a web hosting provider. In addition, they offer private cloud servers (Hyper-V, ProMox, VMware), and enterprise cloud servers (VMware). Their website mentions an OpenStack public cloud product, but it doesn't appear available. Reviews and profiles on Capterra, G2, in the press, are limited. Create an account to get started.

KeepSec is a Canadian cloud provider geared to small and medium sized businesses. Founded in 2021, they're headquartered in Montreal. Reviews and profiles on Capterra, G2, in the press, and elsewhere are limited. KeepSec's support documentation is basic.

Headquartered in Quebec City, they offer professional and managed services alongside their Canadian sovereign cloud product. OVHcloud is a leading European cloud provider. They operate 40+ data centers globally with a significant presence in Canada employing approximately 250 people at facilities in Beauharnois, Quebec and Cambridge, Ontario. They're a full service, enterprise-grade public cloud provider built on OpenStack. OVHcloud offers compute, storage, networking, databases, BI + analytics, AI, and more.
